David Hakan learned the TM technique in 1970 while attending the University of Kansas. He graduated from KU in 1972 with a double-major in Philosophy and Psychology. In the summer of 1971 and the fall of 1972, David completed three months of TM teacher training with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and in La Antilla, Spain.

Teaching TM throughout the US and Puerto Rico over the past 53 years has been David’s favorite activity, while utilizing his creative abilities in various business ventures along the way.
